Are you furious, incensed, frustrated, or just plain angry at the invasive species which threaten our beautiful natural environment? So is the Freelton Lions Club!!
Don your band shirts and join us at 9am on October 19th, 2024 as we rip these invasive species from the earth!
All you need to bring to the event is your favourite band shirt!
Gloves, shovels, extractigators, baskets, and instructions will be provided on site.
If you don't think you can help, YOU ARE WRONG! If you don't feel capable of digging trees from the grounds, by helping remove berries, learning how to identify the trees, and providing support you will still help stop the spread of buckthorn!
The event is located along the Guelph Royal Recreation Trail near Audrey Ave. Parking is located at Eramosa River Park, only accessible through Florance Lane due to construction on York Road.
Due to construction on York Road from Victoria Road to Menzie Avenue, participants must arrive at the site from the west of York Road, either through downtown Guelph or Stevenson Street South.
The date is approaching fast and we’re making preparations. Don’t miss out!
